Devotional Info
Michael Cherenkov and Gary G. Hoag designed Refuge as a 31-day reflective journey that explores who God is, how God works, and how He invites us to respond to Him in crisis. Each reading takes one of these three perspectives.
This approach gave fresh focus to their biblical research and should add depth to your grasp of the topic in order to bolster your faith. Characters like Noah, Moses, David, Esther, Daniel, Mary, Peter, and Paul who found refuge in God serve as our capable instructors.
The authors had people needing refuge in mind as the audience of this book. That includes persecuted, war-torn, oppressed, and suffering people. And yet, since we all endure difficulties and need to learn to take refuge in God, they wrote the book in such a way that everyone can benefit.
Each day starts with a Scripture, related thoughts, a prayer, and ideas to explore personally or with others. Don’t read it alone. We suggest you go through it with your spouse, a family member, a trusted friend, or your small group.
